CNC Machining for Sydney Buyers

Precision Machining India supplies CNC-machined parts from Pune, India, to buyers in Sydney, Australia. Manufacturing and inspection take place in Pune; we do not have a branch or machining facility in Sydney. This is an overseas sourcing option, not a local machine-shop service.

Precision CNC Machining for Australia: overview

Precision turned parts from bar stock on multi-axis CNC lathes. Bar or billet stock is held in a chuck or collet and rotated while carbide tools cut diameters, faces, grooves, tapers and threads under CNC control.

Every order is programmed in VISI or Delcam CAM, machined on LMW, Jyoti and Ace Micromatics CNC turning centres, and inspected in our Mitutoyo quality lab before it is packed and shipped.

Purchasing custom milled components and bushings for Sydney

For Sydney buyers evaluating custom milled components and bushings, start with assembly datums, critical fits and imported-part receiving checks. Provide the controlled PDF drawing, STEP model where available, approved material grade and separate prototype and repeat-order quantities. Define which features determine assembly performance rather than applying an unnecessarily tight tolerance to every surface.

Our drawing review separates CNC turning, 3-axis milling, shaft work, tapping and engineering-plastic machining. Specify any partner finishing operation and whether acceptance is measured before or after that process. Where a feature exceeds the available machine envelope or inspection method, the quotation must identify the limitation rather than silently substituting a different process.

Local purchasing versus importing from India

A search for "cnc machining sydney" may be seeking a nearby supplier. Indian supply is worth comparing only when the buyer can allow time for technical review, sample approval, production and international freight. Same-day collection, local repairs and an overseas workshop visit are not services offered by this city page.

Compare the delivered batch cost, not just the machining price: material, setup, inspection, packing, freight, insurance, import charges and receiving requirements all matter. Confirm the exact delivery address in Sydney, importer responsibilities and agreed Incoterm. Country-level port transit estimates do not include production time, customs clearance or final delivery to your premises.

Before a repeat order, agree sample sign-off, a controlled drawing revision, the inspection-report format and how a non-conforming batch will be handled. Provide expected annual usage and release quantities without assuming guaranteed capacity or delivery dates; these are confirmed against the approved order scope.

CNC Turning capability

We run cnc turning on dedicated machines, so prototypes, pilot lots and production runs all follow the same documented process. Common parts include shafts, bushings, flanges and fittings.

Before quoting, our engineers review your STEP, IGES or PDF drawing for machinability and suggest changes that reduce cost without affecting function.

  • CNC turning centres (LMW, Jyoti, Ace Micromatics): Shafts, bushings, fittings, turned plastic parts
  • Vertical machining centre (VMC) (Ace Micromatics, FANUC control): 3-axis milling, bed 800 × 500 × 400 mm
  • Auto tapping machines (M3 to M32 capacity): High-volume internal threading
  • Conventional lathe (Uma Enterprises): Turning up to Ø400 × 1200 mm
  • Band saw (Rajlaxmi): Bar stock cutting and blank preparation

Tolerances & surface finish

Standard capability for this work is ±0.01 mm on diameters as standard; ±0.005 mm on selected features by agreement. Bores can be held to H7 and bearing seats to h6/g6 fits. Where your drawing calls for tighter limits, we agree the critical characteristics up front and record them on the inspection report.

Surface finish is typically Ra 1.6–3.2 µm as machined, with Ra 0.8 µm achievable on turned sealing and bearing surfaces. Plastics are finished with sharp tools to avoid smearing and burrs.

Plating, anodising, passivation and heat treatment are arranged through qualified partners and re-inspected in-house before packing.

Quality inspection process

Quality is built into every step under our ISO 9001:2015 management system. Raw material is checked against its mill certificate, the first article is fully inspected against the drawing, and in-process checks run at defined intervals.

Every shipment includes a dimensional inspection report, with material test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) on request.

Industries we serve

This work is used across aerospace, medical devices, automotive and hydraulics. Aerospace customers, for example, need weight-critical, tight-tolerance parts with full material traceability and documented inspection.

Our core customers are corporate OEMs in automotive, hydraulics, pumps & valves and general engineering, plus multinational companies that need PTFE, Nylon, Delrin and PEEK parts machined to drawing.

What tolerances can you hold for precision CNC Machining?

Standard capability is ±0.01 mm on diameters as standard; ±0.005 mm on selected features by agreement. Bores to H7 and shaft fits to h6/g6 are routine; tighter limits are agreed per drawing.

Are you ISO certified?

Yes. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified. We do not hold AS9100 or ISO 13485, but we work under customer quality plans and supply full inspection reports and material certificates.

What files do you need for a quote?

A PDF drawing with tolerances plus a STEP or IGES model is ideal. Include material, quantity, finish and destination. We reply within 24 hours.

What is your minimum order quantity?

There is no fixed MOQ. We machine single prototypes, low-volume batches and high-volume production runs.

How long does shipping to Australia take?

Sea freight to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle takes about 18–25 days; air freight about 3–5 days. We ship EXW, FOB or CIF.
