How we handle your details

What we collect when you send an enquiry, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it changed or deleted. Written for India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Last updated 23 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Precision Machining India, a precision machining and export business in Pune, Maharashtra, India, decides what happens to the details you send through this website. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 that makes us the Data Fiduciary, and you — the person the details are about — the Data Principal.

This notice covers this website: the quote form, the enquiry pop-up, the enquiry chat and the rights request form. It does not cover a contract you may separately sign with us, although we handle the details in that correspondence the same way.

Questions about anything here go to [email protected] or +91 96731 98867 (Mon–Sat, 9:00–18:30 IST).

What we collect

Only what the forms ask for, and only what you choose to type. Nothing is collected about you in the background.

  • Name and phone or WhatsApp number — required, because an enquiry we cannot answer is no use to either of us.
  • Email address, company and country — optional.
  • What you need: the service or category, material, quantity and your description of the part, including anything you write in the notes.
  • Which page you enquired from, and the consent wording you were shown, so there is a record of what you agreed to.

There are no accounts on this site, so no usernames and no passwords. We take no payment details here — no card numbers, no bank details. There is no file upload: drawings come later, by email or WhatsApp, after an engineer has replied and an NDA is signed if you need one. We do not ask for identity documents, and we do not ask for anything about your health, finances, religion, caste or politics — please do not put such details in the notes field.

This website is a set of static files. It has no database of its own, and nothing you type is stored on this site or kept in your browser.

Why we collect it, and on what basis

One purpose: to answer the enquiry you sent, and to carry out any order that follows from it. That is all.

Our basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form before you send it. The box starts empty, it is never ticked for you, and the form will not submit without it. You can withdraw that consent at any time — tell us here — and withdrawing it stops any further use of your details, although it cannot undo a reply we have already sent.

We do not add you to a marketing list, send newsletters, sell or rent your details, pass them to anyone who wants to advertise to you, build a profile of you, or make any decision about you automatically. If we ever want to use your details for something other than answering your enquiry, we will ask you first.

Where your enquiry goes

This site has no server of its own, so the form posts your enquiry straight to IRPR (io.irpr.network), a third-party lead-capture service that receives enquiries on our behalf and passes them to us. IRPR acts as a Data Processor on our instructions. We remain the Data Fiduciary and we remain answerable to you for what happens to your details.

After that your enquiry is ordinary business correspondence: it sits in our email and, if you contacted us that way, in WhatsApp, and it is read by the engineer quoting your part and the people who would make it.

TO BE CONFIRMED: the written processing terms between Precision Machining India and IRPR, and the countries in which IRPR stores enquiries, are still being documented. Ask us at [email protected] if you need that detail before you enquire.

Analytics and cookies

This site may use Google Analytics 4 to count which pages are useful. It is configured through Google Consent Mode v2, and what happens depends on how the site is set up:

  • No measurement ID configured — nothing reaches Google at all. No script, no cookie, no request.
  • “Advanced” mode, the current default — every storage type is set to denied before anything loads, and the Google tag is then loaded with the page. While consent is denied it sets no cookies, reads no identifier and cannot recognise you: the pings it sends are cookieless.
  • “Basic” mode — no Google script loads and nothing is sent until you accept.

Stated plainly, because it matters: in the default advanced configuration the Google tag is present when the page loads, and a cookieless request carrying your IP address reaches Google before you have agreed to anything. Nothing is stored on your device and you are not identified, but some regulators treat that transmission as processing in its own right. The site can be switched to basic mode so that nothing whatsoever is sent before consent. That is a configuration decision for Precision Machining India and its legal advisers, and this notice will be updated if it changes.

If you accept, only analytics storage is granted. The advertising permissions — ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation — stay denied permanently and are never granted: this site runs no advertising, Google signals and ad personalisation signals are switched off, and ad data redaction stays on.

The banner that asks for this is separate from the enquiry forms. Declining it changes nothing else on the site, and no part of an enquiry depends on it.

What we store on your device

One thing: your answer to the analytics banner — granted or denied — kept in your browser’s local storage under the key pmi-analytics-consent. It holds no personal data, it is never sent anywhere, and it exists only so the banner does not ask again on every page. Clearing your browser storage clears it, and the banner will then ask once more.

How long we keep it

Your enquiry and the correspondence around it are kept for as long as we need them to deal with that enquiry and any order that comes out of it, including the usual later questions about a part we have supplied. When an enquiry comes to nothing and there is no further reason to hold it, we delete it.

Where an order is actually placed, the invoice and quality records attached to it are business records we must keep for the period Indian tax and company law requires. They are kept for that reason alone.

You do not have to wait for us. Ask us to erase your details and we will, unless a law requires us to keep a specific record — and we will tell you if that is the case.

TO BE CONFIRMED: Precision Machining India has not yet fixed a schedule in months or years for enquiries that lead nowhere. Rather than publish a period we cannot stand behind, we have described the test we apply; a definite schedule will be added here once it is set.

How we look after it

The forms submit over HTTPS to one fixed address and nowhere else. Every field is checked and length-capped in your browser before it is sent. No enquiry data is kept in your browser’s storage, placed in a URL or written to a log on this site, and the page you enquired from is not disclosed to the receiving service as a referrer. The site cannot accept file uploads at all.

If personal data we hold is exposed in a breach, the Act requires us to report it to the Data Protection Board of India and to tell the people affected. We will.

Your rights, and how to use them

The DPDP Act gives you the rights below over the details you have given us. The simplest way to use any of them is the rights request form; email or phone works just as well.

  • Access — a summary of the details we hold about you and what we have done with them. Ask through the request form or email [email protected].
  • Correction — have anything wrong put right, such as a mistyped number. Same form; tell us the correct value.
  • Completion and updating — have anything incomplete or out of date filled in or brought up to date, such as a company name that has changed. Same form.
  • Erasure — have your details deleted. Same form. We delete unless a law requires us to keep a particular record.
  • Withdrawing consent — as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Same form, or simply reply to any message from us saying so.
  • Grievance redressal — complain to us and get an answer. See the next section.
  • Nomination — name another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to act. Send the nominee’s name and contact details through the same form and we will record it against your enquiry.

Before acting on a request we have to be reasonably sure it is you asking, so we reply using the contact details already on file for your enquiry. We answer requests within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your details, write to our grievance contact and say so. We will look into it and reply.

  • Grievance Officer: TO BE CONFIRMED — not yet appointed
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Phone: +91 96731 98867 (Mon–Sat, 9:00–18:30 IST)
  • Based in: Pune, Maharashtra, India

TO BE CONFIRMED: the Act expects a named person to answer data questions. Precision Machining India has not yet appointed one in writing, so this notice publishes the role and the company contact details instead of a name. Email and calls to the above reach the people who handle enquiries, and the name will be printed here as soon as the appointment is made.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This is a business-to-business industrial service. The site is not directed at children, nothing on it is designed to appeal to them, and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. We do not profile children and we do not advertise at all. If you believe a child has sent us details through a form, tell us at [email protected] and we will erase them.

Enquiries from outside India

We machine in India and supply buyers in more than 45 countries, so an enquiry sent from abroad is handled across borders by its nature: your details travel to and from the country you are in, and the lead-capture, email, messaging and analytics services involved operate outside India as well.

The DPDP Act allows such transfers except to countries the Central Government restricts, and we transfer only what is needed to answer you. If you are in the UK, the EU or another region with its own privacy law, nothing in this notice reduces your rights there — write to us and we will deal with your request on the terms set out above.

Changes to this notice

This notice was last updated on 23 October 2026. When we change how we handle your details we update this page, and where a change means using your details for a new purpose we ask for your consent again rather than leaning on consent you gave for something else.

This notice is written in good faith by the people who build and run this site. It is not legal advice, and it is being reviewed by Precision Machining India’s advisers along with the points marked TO BE CONFIRMED above.
