Precision CNC Machining for United States: overview
Precision turned parts from bar stock on multi-axis CNC lathes. Bar or billet stock is held in a chuck or collet and rotated while carbide tools cut diameters, faces, grooves, tapers and threads under CNC control.
Every order is programmed in VISI or Delcam CAM, machined on LMW, Jyoti and Ace Micromatics CNC turning centres, and inspected in our Mitutoyo quality lab before it is packed and shipped.
What buyers in United States order from us
Key buying industries in United States include pumps, hydraulics, automotive, oil & gas, industrial machinery and medical devices. Semrush estimates about 18,100 monthly searches for "cnc machining" in United States, which shows steady demand for machined parts.
Below you'll find dedicated pages for each service, component, material and industry we supply to United States.
CNC Turning capability
We run cnc turning on dedicated machines, so prototypes, pilot lots and production runs all follow the same documented process. Common parts include shafts, bushings, flanges and fittings.
Before quoting, our engineers review your STEP, IGES or PDF drawing for machinability and suggest changes that reduce cost without affecting function.
- CNC turning centres (LMW, Jyoti, Ace Micromatics): Shafts, bushings, fittings, turned plastic parts
- Vertical machining centre (VMC) (Ace Micromatics, FANUC control): 3-axis milling, bed 800 × 500 × 400 mm
- Auto tapping machines (M3 to M32 capacity): High-volume internal threading
- Conventional lathe (Uma Enterprises): Turning up to Ø400 × 1200 mm
- Band saw (Rajlaxmi): Bar stock cutting and blank preparation
Tolerances & surface finish
Standard capability for this work is ±0.01 mm on diameters as standard; ±0.005 mm on selected features by agreement. Bores can be held to H7 and bearing seats to h6/g6 fits. Where your drawing calls for tighter limits, we agree the critical characteristics up front and record them on the inspection report.
Surface finish is typically Ra 1.6–3.2 µm as machined, with Ra 0.8 µm achievable on turned sealing and bearing surfaces. Plastics are finished with sharp tools to avoid smearing and burrs.
Plating, anodising, passivation and heat treatment are arranged through qualified partners and re-inspected in-house before packing.
Air freight or sea freight to the United States
For most buyers this is the only real logistics decision on the order. The transit figures are the ones published for this market: 4–6 days by air and 25–35 days by sea.
| Criterion | Air freight 4–6 days, airport to airport | Sea freight 25–35 days, port to port |
|---|---|---|
| Carrier transit | 4–6 days from Mumbai to your airport. | 25–35 days from Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mumbai to New York/New Jersey, Houston, Los Angeles/Long Beach. |
| Typical use | First-article samples, a replacement part for a line that is down, and small batches where the date matters more than the freight bill. | Production batches and repeat call-offs, where the date was planned when the purchase order was placed. |
| Cost basis | Charged on chargeable weight, taking volumetric or actual weight whichever is greater, so dense steel parts get expensive quickly. | Charged per container, or as part-container by volume and weight, so the cost carried by each part falls as the batch grows. |
| Packing | VCI anti-rust film inside ISPM-15 heat-treated packaging kept as light as the parts allow, because you pay for the crate too. | VCI film, desiccant where humidity is a risk, and ISPM-15 heat-treated crates built to stack and to survive a longer journey. |
| Documents | The same four export documents, issued against an air waybill. | The same four export documents, issued against a bill of lading. |
| Incoterm usually quoted | Sample shipments are normally quoted door to door by courier. | EXW Pune, FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mumbai, or CIF to your nearest port in the United States. Under CIF we book the freight and minimum insurance cover. |
Neither figure is an order-to-doorstep lead time. Production time in Pune, customs clearance in the United States and the inland leg from the port or airport to your site are all additional, and we confirm dates per order rather than quoting them here.

RFQ with the destination stated
Send the PDF drawing with tolerances, a STEP or IGES model, material and grade, the quantity per order and per year, and the port or airport in the United States you want to use. Say which Incoterm you want priced.
Within 24 hours
Quotation and Incoterm options
We reply with a piece price, the production lead time for your part and quantity, and the Incoterm alternatives. An NDA is signed before drawings are reviewed if you ask for one. There is no fixed minimum order quantity.
After your order
Programming, material and machining
Bar stock or forgings are drawn against their mill certificate, the job is programmed, and the first article is inspected against the drawing before the batch runs. This production time is the part that no transit figure includes.
Before dispatch
Final inspection and export packing
Dimensions are checked with Mitutoyo hand instruments on a granite surface plate and recorded on the inspection report. Parts are cleaned, wrapped in VCI film and packed in ISPM-15 heat-treated crates marked with part numbers, quantities and weights.
Documents
Paperwork issued and emailed
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and inspection report go out as soon as they are issued, with material certificates if you ordered them, so your broker can prepare the entry before the goods arrive.
25–35 days by sea, 4–6 days by air
The carrier leg
This is the published transit for the United States, measured port to port or airport to airport. It starts when the vessel or aircraft departs, not when you place the order, and schedules and transhipment can move it.
On arrival
Clearance and inland delivery
Your broker files the import entry and pays any duty and taxes assessed, then the inland leg runs to your plant. Both steps are additional to the carrier transit, and both sit with the importer rather than with us.
Quality inspection process
Quality is built into every step under our ISO 9001:2015 management system. Raw material is checked against its mill certificate, the first article is fully inspected against the drawing, and in-process checks run at defined intervals.
Every shipment includes a dimensional inspection report, with material test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) on request.
- Mitutoyo digital vernier calipers
- Mitutoyo height gauge
- Granite surface plate
- Mitutoyo outside micrometers
- Inside calipers and bore gauges
- Dial test indicators

Clearing a shipment into the United States without a hold
Import clearance is handled by your own broker, so the documents have to match what your side expects before the crates leave Pune. No India–US free-trade agreement. Tariff rates on Indian goods have changed several times recently, so confirm the current rate for your HS code with your customs broker before ordering.
Confirm or send before dispatch
- Give us the exact legal name, address and tax registration of the importer of record, as they must appear on the commercial invoice.
- State the discharge point you want to use. We ship most often to New York/New Jersey, Houston, Los Angeles/Long Beach.
- Tell us which Incoterm to quote, and nominate your forwarder if you are buying FOB Nhava Sheva or Mumbai.
- Ask your customs broker how your part is classified, and what duty and taxes that classification attracts, before you place the order.
- Request the certificate of origin at order stage if your broker needs it to claim preferential duty treatment, so it travels with the other documents.
- List every certificate you need in the purchase order. The inspection report is standard; EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are supplied on request.
- Confirm the delivery address and who arranges the inland leg from the port or airport.
What usually holds a shipment up
- Invoice values, part numbers or quantities that do not match the purchase order and the packing list.
- Asking for the certificate of origin after the goods have shipped, when it is far simpler to issue it with the rest of the set.
- Changing the importer of record, the destination or the Incoterm once the documents have been issued.
- Treating the transit figure as a doorstep date: production, clearance and inland delivery all sit outside it, and we confirm dates per order.
- Leaving classification and any local product registration until the goods land, so the crates wait while your broker chases a ruling.
- Expecting us to clear the goods at your end. We ship from India, and import clearance and any local approvals stay with the importer.

What goes with every shipment to the United States
The same set travels with every crate, whether it is one prototype shaft or a repeat production batch.
VCI film and ISPM-15 crates
Parts are cleaned and wrapped in VCI anti-rust film, shafts go in individual tubes or cradles so they cannot bend in transit, and all wooden packaging is ISPM-15 heat-treated and stamped. Crates are marked with part numbers, quantities and net and gross weights.
Four export documents
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and inspection report with every shipment. EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are issued on request, so ask for them in the purchase order if traceability matters.
Inspection by hand instruments
Dimensions are verified with Mitutoyo calipers, micrometers, a height gauge and dial indicators on a granite surface plate. We have no CMM, so if your drawing calls for CMM or scan data, say so at RFQ stage and we will tell you what we can and cannot verify in house.
ISO 9001:2015 quality system
Incoming material is checked against its mill certificate, the first article is inspected in full, and records are kept per batch. We do not hold AS9100 or ISO 13485, and we will say so rather than work around it; we do work to customer quality plans.
Your choice of Incoterm
EXW Pune if you have your own agent in India, FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mumbai if you run your own forwarder, or CIF to your nearest port in the United States for a first order, where we book the freight and minimum insurance cover.
Everything ships from Pune
We are one job shop in Pune, Maharashtra, with no office, warehouse, stock or sales agent in the United States. One engineer stays with your order from RFQ to dispatch, replies within 24 hours and signs an NDA before receiving drawings.
